Off the tourist path--Charleston

After strolling around Charleston and having a great lunch at Poogin's porch, we took in sites from different vantage points.   The first set of photos is taken of the skyline of Charleston from on top a parking garage.

St. Michael's Cathedral can be seen.

Walking along Legare Street, Sabrina wanted to look into a back yard garden.

At Battery Park, Sabrina practiced her tree climbing moves.

This branch moved like a horse.   Yehaw!

Monkey moves!

When Sabrina was just months old, we have the same photo of her sitting on the cannon with Randy holding on.   This was a tribute to that old shot!

An open gate and secret path led us to an old graveyard behind a Unitarian Church.   Some shade made this a welcome place to walk.

Intricate patterns.

Neat old iron fences marked graves.

The plants added an old appeal and softness to the graves.

Peek a boo!

The stone work on the cross was so intricate!

Next to the exit, this memorial was dedicated to the enslaved workers who made the bricks and helped build the church.

The top had shells in the cement.
