St. Simons and Darian

An old church in Darian built for freed men after the Civil War.

After going to the O. Swamp we drove east to St. Simons Island to see the lighthouse.

It was in the center of the park where there were lots of people  waiting for fireworks.

The ocean was like bath water and fun to splash in and play.

Sitting in a hole on the beach and digging has become one of the favorite activities at the beach.
