State of Watermelon

As earlier posted, we noted that it was difficult to find peaches on farms or at fruit stands near where we live.   However, last night we ate some of the watermelon we purchased on our trek and thought Georgia should get credit for having wonderful watermelons!   The flavor was wonderful and the melon was juicy!   I wonder if another state has claimed to be the watermelon state....
