In a sweet little voice from the backseat of the car came a song about "five little ladybugs sitting on a rose". From the shadow I could tell there were hand motions and one little lady bug would disappear during each verse as she counted back to one. It sounded like the ladybug was afraid of "Uncle John" and then flew away....we will have to get some clarification on the lyrics of this song.
Too many crazy things come out of Sabrina's mouth these days that they are had to keep in my memory to post. What I recall:
1. "Don't worry, Mom!"
2 "Relax!"
3. "Help is on the Way!" as she peddles at warp speeds around the pond on her trike! Ringing her bell of course!
4. "Do you see the stars?"
5. "The moon is not awake today." (Usually, I think, "neither am I" as these are early morning observations.)
6. "Kitties are NOT allowed in the house." "Right!? Mom!"
7. "Let's play Tag You're It!"--as she tags and runs away.
8. "Wanna race Dad?"
9. "When I grow up I can have _____________. Right Mom?"
10. Random facts and quotes about Rescue Trucks, Flynn Rider, Max the Horse and Pascal.
In artistic development Sabrina has made some great strides in her drawings. She is now drawing stick people and pictures with Suns (the suns have backbones for strength) and grass. She is also big into drawing maps...usually with butterfly areas and a place for fairies, dogs, cats or Papa's house. Last week she was really into cutting paper projects ...a little snowflake style book with the specific lines to cut was a favorite. On the game side, she enjoys playing various concentration games she has found in magazines. Lately, it has been leaf concentration where there are ten pairs of leaves with their names. We are all learning to identify species like Sugar Maple or Black Walnut! Fun!
