Our first day on the road started in Savannah and eight hours later ended in Destin, Florida.
Being on the Gulf of Mexico, Destin's waters were perfect for swimming and wave jumping. A great way to unwind after a long car trip,
The white sand was attributed to quartz deposits from the river which originated in the Appalachian Mountains.
Only a stretch around Destin area on the Gulf had this white fine sand.
We had a hard time keeping Sabrina out of the water after we had showered for the evening.
