Sabrina and Julie flew to Savannah on the first step of our moving trip. We were heading to Randy where he would finish his last few days at Gulfstream. Our adventure started at 3am waking up and driving to Eugene for our first leg of the flight. Everything went smoothly, but we had a four hour planned lay over which was extended by an hour due to fog in San Francisco. One thing we thought was if we had to stay somewhere, that was a great airport. Sabrina had a chance to play with a tornado simulation and weather station in the "kid's spot". In the new wing, an artist put an interactive exhibit which consisted of motion sensitive pinwheels on the floors and walls that spun depending upon where the people were standing.
Due to the late departure of our San Francisco flight, our pilot had to make up time and took us through a bumpy airspace. Our seat belts were fastened for three hours of the flight! When we landed, we literally sprinted to our next gate and loaded directly on the plane with five minutes to spare. Our long day ended after midnight when we landed in the Savannah Airport.
