Being the classic movie lovers we are, it was fun to see some of our favorite stars' stars. Gene Kelly is the top of my list and it was fate that we parked the car right by his star!

After driving down Sunset Blvd., we started the winding Highway 1 up the Pacific Coast. One missed turn and we would have been swimming!
After we drove to Santa Cruz, we decided to work our way back to I-5 for a quicker drive home. To our amazement, all the hotels were booked in Silicon Valley as people come during the week for work. Our destination ended up being Grass Valley which made our last drive to Oregon almost a straight shot.
