Tummy time, books and friends

This week the news from the doctor was "more tummy time" which Sabrina dislikes. So, we try to break it up by alternating the blanket on the floor with the boppy pillow. This appears to help a little. Also this week, Sabrina started looking at books. She looked at the book as I read to her. I am not sure what she saw but she looked at the physical page. Midweek the Davis family came for a visit and the boys loved holding Sabrina.

Point No Point

This week we decided to take the Kingston Ferry and drive up to a place called Point No Point for a picnic. Not only was there an almost- on -the -beach lighthouse but there were bald eagles and a nice sandy beach to enjoy. Later we drove to Port Gamble where a bald eagle swooped down to water to hunt some fish. Another beautiful day. The ferry ride home was a nice cool down time.

Eight weeks

Time flies! We can't believe she is already eight weeks old!

Fort Casey

Friday we took a day trip by ferry to Whidbey Island and then drove up to Fort Casey. This fort was built after the Civil War and guarded the entrance to the Puget Sound. In the old fort, two old guns were on displayed to show what had been there before the fort was decommissioned in the 1950s. These guns were originally used in the Pacific and had gun shot marks from action during WWII.

Our day at the park was full of walking in the gorgeous weather and picnicing and a nap!

New babysitters

Last week, we traveled to see grandparents in Oregon. Not only, did Grandma and Grandpa want to watch Sabrina, but Annie the German Shepard puppy was interested in sitting. Annie would sit by the stroller and watch Sabrina or sit at my feet while Sabrina was being fed. A couple of times, Sabrina was bathed on the back of the head by Annie's long tongue. It was a great bonding weekend for all.
