Wormsloe Plantation

The Wormsloe Plantation was owned by the original surveyor that came over with Oglethorpe.   This is the entry driveway which is lined with Oaks.   Savannah plantations were limited in size and slavery was outlawed originally in Georgia so this plantation was originally used to grow food for the family and those living on the grounds.   The original home is decaying but still has about three feet of its walls.
Interpretive housing for the Native Americans who most likely lived on the property.
The upstairs loft where a family slept in their stucco house.
The downstairs room with ladder going to sleeping loft.
Sitting at the dining room table with the fire in background.
The house from the outside.
