Tuesday morning met Helen, the OT. She was working on hand strength using a Nemo fish which Joyce is to squeeze and a toy that retracts. The loop is to be held in the right hand and she is to pull the animal using her left hand which then vibrates and then retracts.
Sabrina helped with the therapy by handing the fish and toy to Grandma.

Joyce is getting more movement in her hand which is evident by her abilty to grasp her walker. After the stroke she lost all movement in her entire left side of her body. She is now able to move her hand a little and is encouraged by her progress. She is able to walk with assistance using a walker. Her leg strength is getting better, too.

Eating a cheese burger. Joyce craved a cheeseburger, milkshake and fries so we brought her lunch.
