Tybee Lighthouse and Waving at Ships

One of the most famous lighthouses on the East Coast is the Tybee Lighthouse.

Ft. Screven was built across the street from the lighthouse and housed soldiers and prepared them for WWI and WWII.

Behind the fort was a sign that made us laugh.   Category 1 was over my head and it was suggested to have a plan when a hurricane is a Category 2.     We wondered how well people will drive under eleven feet of water.

Sabrina found a new broom---palmetto branch and was sweeping her way around the fort and lighthouse

We loaded up and went down the street to Ft. Pulaski.   Sabrina loved walking the nature trail down to the river viewing area where there were oyster shells.

Twirling down the hillside.

Sitting on oyster shells.

Laying on shells.

Happiness!

Waving at passing ships.

The new Waving Girl!
